The Dead: Human Corpses

Here are some more additions to my The Dead Collection I use for Mordheim and our RPG’s. I do have several of the metal official Mordheim casualties, but metal miniatures without a base is asking for chipped paint! So I had some old militia plastic bandits lying around from the time I wasn’t as good at painting.

I viciously cut them into pieces and bent/twisted their limbs (while laughing menacingly!!) Then glued them together and gave them a new paint job.

Human Corpses

Despite the awkward positions, they ended up pretty good. Though I guess not everyone dies gracefully :-)

I made some Skaven corpses out of very old plastic miniatures aswell. Just like the human corpses, assembling them to make it look realistic, is not as easy as it looks. But I’ll see if I can get some pictures of them aswell.

The Dead: The Plague Cart

Another piece done for my project “The Dead” which basically includes corpses, casualties etc.

This time it’s a Plague Cart – It’s basically the Corpse Cart from Games Workshop, without zombies pulling the cart and a necromancer commanding the zombies.
I decided to paint the corpses before gluing them onto the Cart. This turned out to be quite a problem and as a result a few of the corpses are “floating” a bit. Fortunately you don’t really notice it on the table.

The Plague Cart has already been used several times in the ongoing WFRP campaign I’m a part of. A strange plague has hit Middenheim and corpses are being piled up.

The Dead: The Hanged Man

Another piece done for my project “The Dead” which basically includes corpses, casualties etc.

This time it’s a converted piece called “The Hanged Man”, I used a pole from The Hobbit terrain piece “Goblin Town”. I then added a Games Workshop zombie hanging from a rope, a kind note from the Witch Hunters who hunted this heretic down, a crow eating a piece of rotting flesh from the ground and that’s more or less it.

The result ended up being an excellent terrain piece that can be used for many settings.

The Dead: The Decapitated

Over the next few months I’ll be posting some pictures of a series I’ll be calling “The Dead”, it’ll be different sort of casualties and dead people (Not undead) – These miniatures can give a good eerie environment feeling when playing RPGs and Mordheim if placed in the right places. Anyway, here’s the first one: The Decapitated.
