Another commission finished!

I just finished this commission for a friend of mine! Lots of characterful miniatures and some great zombie conversions! There are so many exciting miniatures in this commission that I had to split it in two. So this is just the first half! Still working on some ghosts and monsters.

I got to try a few new paint combinations including the blonde hair of some of the ladies. I ended up liking the hair of the Bretonnian Sorceress the most, where I used Golden Skin Shadow, thinned down Light Tone Shade, Golden skin and Blonde Highlight.

Here is a group picture with all the miniatures included!

Warrior Priests of Sigmar!

I simultaneously painted these two Warrior Priests using the exact same colours and techniques, which was really fun. They both work at the local Temple of Sigmar :)

The female Warrior Priest is the resin master of Mother Morrigan from Hasslefree Miniatures. The sculpt is an older model, as they later made a second version of the mini with scars and a pouch since Kev White weren’t 100% satisfied with the original version. I still think it’s cool, though. Mine didn’t come with several weapon choices, but I would have picked the 2-hander nonetheless :)

The male Warrior Priest is an old metal Games Workshop miniature. I gave him some stubbles and again, the same colours as the female model. I freehanded the texture on the cloth as a wool, but it’s really hard to see on the photos.

The colours I used were: Metal armor is Black Metal drybrushed and then highlighted over Black surface primer (both from Scale75) and finally highlighted with Heavy Metal. The leather parts are Muddy Soil with Basic Dirt highlights, and finally, the cloth is Burgundy Wine with Pale Violet subtle highlights.

Another Finished Commission

I just completed another commission for a Spanish friend of mine and an excellent miniature converter, who wanted 32 miniatures painted (quite a handful, but great challenge!) The commission consisted mainly of skeletons for his RPG campaign, but also a few other interesting miniatures, including some from Dark Art Studios’ Kickstarter Campaign.

Here’s some of the many skeletons I painted!

I also painted some heroes, including an undead female warrior,a goblin hero and a female dark elf.

And the miniatures from Dark Art Studios.

Here’s an overall picture of all the miniatures I painted!

Commission

Even though it was a ton of work, I really enjoyed painting these! I got to experiment with skin tones, freehand, painting fire, vivid clothing and colour choices! And I think they ended up looking pretty awesome :-D
