Painted up these two seasonal minis for Halloween – The Pumpkin Slayer is from Scibor and the Pumpkin King from Fenryll – Happy Halloween :-)
Miniatures
Warhammer: Merchant / Nobleman
I already have this miniature painted in another color scheme in my collection, but the miniature is awesome so I bought an extra a while back. I now found a use for it, as we had to use a miniature for “Luigi Pavarotti”, a Middenheim character from WFRP 1st edition – Luigi is of course in our Middenheim campaign as well – I painted his clothes pretty extravagant as that fits the character well.
I’ve included a short description of him from the 1st edition book “Power Behind the Throne”
“Height 6’ 2”. Build, enormous. Thick Black curly hair and beard. Luigi is an amazing, larger than-life character; he is flamboyant, shouts rather than speaks, gestures wildly and appears half-crazy. Luigi does everything to excess; he dresses in outrageous attire and eats and drinks avariciously.”
So without further ado, Luigi Pavarotti from Middenheim!
Pre-Painted: New Products up at King Games
I’ve just put up 24 new Pre-Painted items at King Games, you can find them all here: http://kinggames.dk/shop/search-1.html?keyword=pp271015 – Including a lot of different miniatures, terrain & dungeon accessories.
Triss & Geralt Busts – Unpainted
My two Witcher busts of Triss & Geralt finally arrived! I can’t wait to start painting these two. The busts are quite detailed and has very few flaws, it’s clear to see that a lot of work has been put into making the characters look as true to The Witcher 3 models as possible.
The only downside is that the eye details are sort of sculpted, so I had to file, cut and greenstuff them plain in order to have more freedom to paint the eyes.
I’ll start with Triss first and will of course put up pictures as soon as I’m done – And perhaps some WIP ones too.
To anyone interested in the busts, I picked them up here: Klukva Miniatures – I received very good service and fast response to my mails – Plus the busts were shipped very fast and received 7 days after being shipped from Russia, so I can only recommend buying these if you’re a fan of The Witcher game series :-)
Pre-Painted Commission
I recently finished a pretty large commission job for a customer – To be used for him and his family (Wife and two kids) in their RPG adventures. There’s a bunch of Goblins, Skeletons, Doors, Ghosts & Spiders. The second picture is the heroes and the 4th is the main villain the heroes are facing. The Warhammer High Elf miniature was heavily converted by the customer to look more villainous and I’m very happy with the end result as I think he ended up looking pretty evil.
The miniatures are currently on their way to Spain and I’m excited for the customer to get his miniatures back, now in painted condition :-)
WFRP: Female Empire Citizen
I picked up this quite old Marauder/Citadel miniature from 1989 (I was three years old when that miniature was released, wow) on Ebay recently as she fits perfectly into WFRP – There’s a lack of females without wearing dresses or wielding huge weapons, so I was very happy to find this ordinary villager/citizen. She fits into many roles, could be a street vendor, a pedlar, an adventurer or many other roles.
I decided to add the comet to her hat as the miniature was a bit plain.
Mordheim: Undead Characters
Three more Mordheim miniatures done for my Mordheim Painting Progress – Two Undead Vampires & the Undead Necromancer. I painted the vampires pretty traditionally with red and black clothing, one of them ended up a lot more pale than the other, not sure which of the skin colors I prefer.
As for the Necromancer, I actually tried to paint him as neutral as possible as I thought he could make a decent sort of Hedge Wizard/Morr Priest in WFRP, so I avoided too many black colors plus I didn’t try to make him look evil.
17 miniatures done, wohoo! I do have a couple more done that I just need pictures of.
Bragg the Gutsman – Warhammer Ogre
An Ogre walks into a butcher shop in Middenheim…
I painted this handsome Ogre for my ongoing Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay campaign. The ogre is hired by a local butcher in Middenheim to perform various tasks for him (And from what the PCs have heard, some fishy stuff is going on at the butcher shop..)
My character and the rest of the party hasn’t officially met the fellow yet, but I suspect that once we do, there’ll be trouble. I finished painting the miniature quite fast but I’m really glad with the result – I think the skin turned out good.
Mordheim: Halfling Thief
Just finished painting this little bugger. I remember this miniature from way back, before I started playing mordheim myself. Actually thought he was some kind of hedgehog mutant (I know…) and I never really liked the mini. But since I decided to start collecting mordheim miniatures, I of course had to own the miniature. The pictures are a bit dark and honestly doesn’t give the painted piece the justice it deserves, it looks a lot better on the gaming table compared to the pictures.
I bought him from a local fellow, who quit the painting hobby – Afterwards I realized that he’s pretty damn rare and I actually saw him go for 175 euro on ebay shortly after – And this was a painted one with several layers of paint. The one I bought was also painted (Not too great) So I cleaned him up, and started anew.
Since he is a burglar I decided that he should look like a successful one (he is a halfling after all), adding tons of gold and gems. I’m quite happy with the result, and I’m sure he will fit right into my rpg :-)
Mordheim: Averlander Captain
Averlander with Sword & Pistol
My first Mordheim Averland miniature is finished – I haven’t painted him in Averland colors as I wanted to experiment a bit with colors, and I probably wont stick to the true colors on Ostlanders, Marienburgers and Averlanders – As a lot of the miniatures will be used for RPGs and several of these minis make perfect guards.
I will update the Painting Progress picture with the next post :)
Another thing I wanted to mention, my blog is not completely done yet, but I expect to add some big updates to it pretty soon, so stay tuned!
