Tabletop-World: Cottage

This is the cottage from Tabletop World. Another of those newer buildings which require almost no assembly (which is a big plus for me as the old ones were a b#*@% to assemble)

This time I tried out a more cozy orange colour for the windows instead of the traditionally blue, which also looks really cool but a bit trivial. I was afraid that it would look like the house was on fire, but I think it turned out perfect! Added to the picture is the dead tree from their catalog and one of my many warepiles :)

I was actually inspired by a very old version of the Memory game from Ravensburger I had when I was a kid. One of the tokens were of a timbered house with orange windows and a black roof. Really spooky and I absolutely loved it! I am currently painting their “Townhouse III” in those colours and it will most likely stand out, but i’ve really enjoyed painting it so far!

Tabletop-World: Coaching Inn

This one is the Coaching Inn from Tabletop-World and at the time of purchase (2013), the largest house they ever made. In 2014 however, they made an even bigger Mansion and finally in 2015 they added the Town Gate which is enormous! Wonder how 2016 will look!

I actually painted this one twice because I thought it would look cool with red patterned stones instead of standard grey. Boy, was I wrong! The whole thing looked like a big mess! So I decided to start over and try again with the standard grey theme. Looked a lot better :) Also added some of my many warepiles for extra flavour!

Still it is a fragile building (especially the balcony railing, which miraculously survived the trip from Croatia) and I shiver every time one of my friends tries to use the balcony in Mordheim!

WIP: Travelling Empire Merchant

I decided to convert a Forge World miniature (Manann’s Blade musician) to a Travelling Empire Merchant – I spent a while adding LOTS of parts, you can’t actually see it that well in the pictures how much I added, but it’s a lot! He’ll be used in the WFRP campaign, so expect to see him painted soon :-)

Witcher Miniature from Andrea

Witcher - Geralt ArtworkI had bought the White Wolf / Witcher / Geralt miniature from Andrea Miniatures long ago – But it wasn’t until recently that I finally finished the miniature that had been collecting dust for at least three years. The model is quite obviously based on the Geralt look from Witcher 1, which you can see on the artwork picture from Witcher 1.

Even though it’s based on Witcher 1, I still had some problems seeing much resemblance – The armor/clothing doesn’t appear to be based on any artwork or outfit from the game. The face ended up being okay however. Overall I didn’t enjoy painting this one that much, so I did rush some of the parts a bit. But in the end I’m still satisfied with the final result.

Avatars of War: Orc Shaman

Yet another post today, I’m on fire! I painted the Avatars of War miniature “Orc Shaman”  for my husband’s Orc Warband to be used in Mordheim. He’s been working on converting a bunch of orcs to appear to be raiding the town (Empire hats, bunch of loot on them etc.) – This one is one of the few “Normal” orcs in the warband.

I’ll put up some more pictures soon of his warband – And my own warband as well (The Possessed).

Mordheim: SoS Matriach

I think this is my first Sisters of Sigmar that I’ve put up on the blog. I’ve been painting them in a few different color schemes as the models are very similar, and I want them to have different uses for RPG’ing. But here’s the first one, the Matriach – In pretty traditional Sigmar colors:

I’m looking forward to getting more Sisters of Sigmar up on the blog – I’ll eventually put up separate pages for each of the Mordheim Warbands – Hopefully I’ll have time to start on it soon :-)

Empire Captain with Scar

Another Warhammer Empire Captain! He’s sure to be given a role in an upcoming WFRP session in Middenheim, as I painted him with a blue color scheme, fitting for Middenheim/Middenland.
The comet symbol throws it a bit off, since he would probably be an Ulric worshipper, but it’s still a minor detail ;-)

The Dead: The Plague Cart

Another piece done for my project “The Dead” which basically includes corpses, casualties etc.

This time it’s a Plague Cart – It’s basically the Corpse Cart from Games Workshop, without zombies pulling the cart and a necromancer commanding the zombies.
I decided to paint the corpses before gluing them onto the Cart. This turned out to be quite a problem and as a result a few of the corpses are “floating” a bit. Fortunately you don’t really notice it on the table.

The Plague Cart has already been used several times in the ongoing WFRP campaign I’m a part of. A strange plague has hit Middenheim and corpses are being piled up.
